Mark Meuser is a native Californian with a proven record of fighting for your constitutional rights.
We need a check on the Sacramento politicians who spend first and ask questions later. And as taxpayers, we deserve to know exactly how our money is being spent.
As the grandson of a World War II veteran and two Holocaust survivors who came to this country as refugees, Matt has always been deeply proud and grateful to be an American.
That pride and gratitude led Matt to pursue a career as a federal prosecutor, where he investigated and prosecuted some of America’s worst enemies and most dangerous criminals – including al-Qaeda terrorists, child sex traffickers, mafia bosses, street gang members, opioid traffickers and many others. For his success in protecting our country and communities, Matt earned “Prosecutor of the Year” and “True American Hero” awards from national law enforcement organizations.
Born and raised in Ventura County, Matt attended Conejo Valley public schools and was valedictorian of his Thousand Oaks High School class. He went to UCLA on an academic scholarship (graduating in the top 1% of his class) before earning a master’s degree in public affairs from Princeton and a law degree from NYU.
Matt learned the importance of service from his mom, a third-grade teacher. He learned the value of hard work watching his dad build a small business from scratch.
Matt and his wife Julie are blessed to be the parents of Benjamin, Alexander, and Abigail. They live in Westlake Village, just miles from Matt’s childhood home in Thousand Oaks. Like his grandparents and so many others who’ve come to this country in search of freedom and opportunity, Matt is a passionate believer in the American Dream.
As your Congressman, Matt will fight to make sure our neighborhoods are safe, our economy is strong, and our schools are world-class so that everyone in our community has the opportunity to make their American Dream a reality.
Help Me Save California!
When it comes to the American Dream, California was once the best state in the nation to receive an education, find a great paying job, start a family, establish a business, and buy a home in a safe neighborhood. Look around today and see how things have deteriorated in this once golden state. Homelessness is at an all-time high. Crime is increasing. Education ranks near the bottom nationally. The cost of living has become too expensive, forcing hardworking families to leave the state.
As a native Californian, Lori had become increasingly concerned about our state and state government. She saw the impact Sacramento politicians and their policies were causing in our communities. California residents are enduring high taxes, a sharply increasing cost of living, a deteriorating education system, a worsening crime rate, and a homelessness and mental health problem that has evolved into a humanitarian crisis.
Californians are losing trust in elected politicians. Productive working families, businesses and high paying jobs are leaving for other states in large numbers. Motivated to turn things around in her home state and apply her experience as a successful businesswoman, Lori Mills announced her candidacy for State Assembly. She is committed to save California by reestablishing needed checks and balances in Sacramento and ensuring that our elected officials place the needs of Californians ahead of their own.
Lori Mills’ policy priorities include reigning in government spending, improving public safety, improving services for the homeless and those with mental health needs, creating a parents’ bill of rights, and ending government overreach.
California is headed in the wrong direction and our state elected officials have failed us. However, it doesn’t have to be that way. That’s why I am running to represent our community at the State Assembly.
